Aki Ajo will be the team director of Red Bull KTM in MotoGP starting in 2025, succeeding Francesco Guidotti. One of the riders he will be working with is Brad Binder, with whom he has previously worked at Ajo Motorsport in Moto3 and Moto2.
The South African expressed his excitement about working with Ajo again: ‘Obviously I have a really long relationship with Aki. He picked up already in 2015 to join his team. He’s a great dude, and we’ve had a lot of really cool times together. And, yeah, he’s really such an awesome guy, so I’m really looking forward to work with him again’.
When asked what he expects from Ajo’s management, Binder believes that his ability to simplify things could be a significant asset:
– I think Aki is the type of guy who understands a lot, but also tries to keep things as simple as possible. I think we are in a very complicated sport, with a lot of complicated situations. I think he tries to make everything as simple as possible, and it really works for what we need to improve. I think it’s going to be really good for us. I’m excited to see what happens.
