Fonsi Nieto showed himself very pleased with Jorge Martín’s results in the last GPs. The Spanish rider currently has a 39-point lead in the championship and promises to fight for the MotoGP title until the end of the season.
In statements to the newspaper AS, Nieto talked about what could happen to the Prima Pramac Racing team once Jorge Martín leaves.
– There is a lot of work to do to get there. The weekend was a 10. He was first in all the trainings except one, got the pole position, and scored the maximum points. The other day I was talking to Gigi [Dall’Igna] and I was telling him that I didn’t know what the limit of this guy was. He continues to surprise, grow, improve what he can improve, work at home like an animal, with his physical trainer, lifting the box and encouraging people. A 10 for him.
He also added about the title fight: ‘They are both in the title fight, and also Bastianini. We have to go day by day, race by race. Marc is a concern, of course, but so is Pecco. And they are worried about Jorge. Now we have an advantage that we don’t want to think about, but we have to think that we are competing in a championship and we have to try not to make mistakes, which means we have to be content with results that are not victory when the time comes. And try to give our best and win whenever possible.’
