Fabio Di Giannantonio, Maverick Viñales, Miguel Oliveira. All these riders have been pointed out in recent weeks as strong candidates for the seat left by Marc Márquez at Repsol Honda. However, the succession could come from Moto2… and from Fermín Aldeguer – despite his inexperience at a time when the RC213V needs to make significant progress.
In his X profile (formerly Twitter), commentator Ricard Jové reports a proposal from Honda to the promising Spanish rider: ‘I confirmed this information, we can now consider it a fact that Fermín Aldeguer has a firm offer from HRC to accompany Joan Mir in 2024/2025. I understand that his priority is Moto2, which I support, but as usual, these opportunities come few and far between. He will have to decide‘.
Aldeguer is currently competing in his second full season in the Moto2 World Championship, with two victories, two pole positions, and four podiums aboard a Boscoscuro. He holds the titles of FIM CEV Stock600 European Championship in 2020 and FIM CEV Moto2 the following year.
