BMW will update some of its models for 2025, one of them being the hypernaked S 1000 R. With its always-distinctive look, it hasn’t received an update since 2021.
According to InMoto, homologation documents show a new design, with the front now featuring dual headlights and a particularly aggressive appearance. The frame and chassis will also have updates.
As for the inline-four engine, it is expected to have a larger displacement than the current 999 cubic centimeters, meeting Euro 5+ emission standards. The current version has 165 hp of power and 114 Nm of torque.
EICMA may be the stage to reveal these new updates for the BMW S 1000 R, but other associated models may also receive updates – such as the S 1000 RR or the M 1000 RR, which has already been approved for the Superbike category for 2025.
