The first round of the SuperEnduro World Championship has concluded, where Billy Bolt dominated with a total of 63 points. In Liévin, the Husqvarna Factory Racing rider had no one near his level, with Jonny Walker being the closest. Diogo Vieira performed well and finished eighth.
This was the first time since 2017 that France hosted a round of the championship, and Bolt wasted no time in setting the fastest time in the Akrapovic SuperPole upon his return.
In the first round of the night, he conquered the holeshot and took command of the race. Eddie Karlsson (Husqvarna) had a remarkable start, taking second place ahead of Jonny Walker (Beta) before being pushed back by the Briton, who was determined not to be surpassed by Bolt. Fighting for the top positions were Dominik Olszowy (Rieju), Alfredo Gómez (Rieju), and the returning Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM). However, there were no changes in leadership until the finish line, securing the victory, ahead of Walker, while Olszowy took the last place on the podium.
Despite Bolt’s dominance, there were other highlights, including Portuguese Diogo Vieira (GASGAS), who conquered the holeshot in the second race, but Vieira was still overtaken by the main names of the championship, with Bolt winning once again and ahead of Walker, while Gómez was third.
In the last race, Bolt once again stood out to claim another victory, for the third time with Walker in second and Will Hoare in third.
Overall, Diogo Vieira finished eighth and scored 24 points.
