The Beta Evo range is confirmed for 2024 as one of the most competitive, attractive, and extensive in the Trial category, with no less than six different models capable of satisfying the diverse needs of all riders. The updates introduced with the 2023 model are reconfirmed, but the aesthetic impact is updated through a new graphics that breaks the tradition of Beta’s red. The 2024 version of the Evo can therefore be recognized by the original graphics with a racing spirit, but at the same time elegant.
The red is used to finish the base in gray and not as the main element and enhances the volumes of the bike. The frame and swingarm remain in aluminum color to underline the connection with the world of racing. The main novelty from a technical equipment point of view concerns the introduction of the electronic key that plays a dual role, combining the innovative anti-theft function with the more classic use for the passive safety of the bike and the rider, typically represented by the “Kill-Switch”.
The new electronic device is a unique European patent registered by Betamotor (EP3064405B1) and serves as an anti-theft and motorcycle and rider protection device at the same time. The electronic key consists of two parts: one that is fixed to the vehicle’s handlebar and another, magnetic (which the rider can use with a bracelet), which can be detached to activate the mechanism. The device, which was recently introduced for the first time in a Beta model with the Xtrainer My 24, functions as a “Kill-Switch” device for the safety of the motorcycle and the rider, shutting off the motorcycle when the magnetic contact point connected to the rider’s wrist and handlebar disconnects.
However, unlike a regular “Kill-Switch,” the new electronic key also incorporates an anti-theft function, preventing the engine from starting when turned off, due to encryption that uniquely associates the key with the motorcycle, preventing theft of the vehicle when left unattended.
