David Alonso had a great debut season in Moto3. He was the top rookie last year with four victories, showing himself as one of the young talents to watch out for in the future.
The Colombian, who finished third in the championship in 2023, now wants to do more and go for the category title. It’s a goal he considers achievable this year, as he stated to El Colombiano: ‘In 2024, the goal is to fight for my dreams, which are to be world champion, and, well, I feel it’s a realistic goal‘.
On his side, Alonso will have the important factor of stability, as he continues with GasGas Aspar Team. Ahead of him in 2023 were Jaume Masiá and Ayumu Sasaki, who will make the jump to Moto2. However, there will be no shortage of competition, with the riders who continue in Moto3 and the talents making their debut, such as last year’s FIM JuniorGP champion and Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion, Ángel Piqueras.
