The debut of the Balaton Park circuit in MotoGP and the Superbike World Championship is approaching, and work at the Hungarian track is nearly complete.

Over the past few months, there has been some skepticism regarding the ability of local organizers to meet the set deadlines – even after a visit from FIM Safety Officer Tome Alfonso in February confirmed that everything was progressing as planned.

The 4.075km track features 17 corners (ten right-handers, seven left-handers). According to Dorna, as quoted by SPEEDWEEK.com, the final construction work is currently being completed, with a preparatory meeting scheduled for the end of June to review medical and circuit procedures with WSBK and FIM officials.

Finishing work is also still ongoing on infrastructure adjacent to the track itself, such as the medical center, media center, grandstands, and television system.

WSBK will race at Balaton Park from July 25 to 27, while the MotoGP Hungarian GP is scheduled for August 22 to 24. There will be a preparatory event for WSBK and a MotoGP test, both serving as build-up for the championships ahead of their competitive arrival in Hungary.
