The Kawasaki Racing Team presented itself for 2024, where it will have a new rider in the factory team: Axel Bassani. The Italian is still adapting to a new bike, but he is eager to see how he performs, saying that he is satisfied with the work done so far.
Bassani started by talking about the team’s new colors, which he likes: ‘I really like the new colors for 2024, they are a bit different. In previous years, there were small changes, but this is my favorite. I approach 2024 with great optimism’.
Then he talked about the potential of the bike and how he is trying to make the most of it: ‘In a way, the bike, the equipment, and the team are the same, but I have to work with different personnel. We have some small updates and we have worked hard during the winter, especially on our weaker areas, making the bike easier to manage during the race. I am very happy with the work we have done. Whether it is enough to fight at the front every week, we will have to wait and see’.
However, he is ready to face the challenge: ‘But I feel that we have taken a step forward compared to last year. I am excited to start and go to Phillip Island for the final pre-season test and for the first round’.
