The first round of AMA Supercross 250 East had a very crazy start in Detroit, with many riders starting on the ground. Austin Forkner dominated the main event to claim the victory, leading every lap.
The first main event of 250SX East started in a very chaotic way, with over seven riders crashing in the first turn of Ford Field: Haiden Deegan, Jalek Swoll, Seth Hammaker, Cameron McAdoo, Evan Ferry, Bryton Carrol, Tom Vialle, among others.
Austin Forkner managed to escape this nightmare start and led the race, with Chance Hymas, Max Anstie, and Daxton Bennick as his main competitors.
Anstie eventually reached the second position, but it was a bit too late to try to catch Forkner, who led all 21 laps, finishing the race with a 2.557s advantage over #37, while Bennick took the final step of the podium.
Forkner is now also the first leader of the East region championship with 25 points, three more than Anstie – 22 – while Bennick is third with 20.
