After a not so good start to the MotoGP World Championship in Losail, Augusto Fernández hopes to return to good races in Portimão.
In an official team statement, #37 gave a preview of what he wants to see happen on the Portuguese track, stating: ‘We are looking forward to a new race week in Portugal after a tough Qatar GP. Our goal is to continue improving our feelings with the bike, trying to regain the confidence to fight for better positions. Portimão is a circuit that I really like, so I am excited for this new week’.
The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 Team Manager Nicolas Goyon also made a point of noting the changes in the rider, showing confidence that this round in Portugal could be the change Fernández needs: ‘Augusto Fernandez is starting to feel more comfortable on the bike, and the Qatar race was when he felt his best since the beginning of 2024. We know that he will approach this first European round with the positives from Qatar, in order to get back to where he should be. For all these reasons, we are looking forward to changing the clocks to Portuguese time!’
