The Arsenale Plan B is a motorcycle that leaves anyone impressed. It is a revamped version of the 2X2 Ultra Bike from Robo Systems, which was never fully completed.
This is an electric motorcycle with two-wheel drive and balloon tyres that are not only highly resistant to punctures due to their low pressure on the ground but also allow the bike to traverse obstacles in water.
There are two 1 kW electric motors, and the 1.6 kWh battery provides a range of about 50 km. It is possible to attach a portable gasoline generator (the fuel tanks are inside the wheels!), which, when in use, allows the internal charger to recharge the battery. The charging time is one hour.
The top speed is 50 km/h – although speed is not necessarily the most sought-after feature in a bike like this. Both wheels are equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, with 190 mm discs.
With loading racks in the front and rear, the Arsenale Plan B is a motorcycle particularly suited for work in rough terrains. It is available for sale at $15,000 (about €14,547).
