Lorenzo Savadori will continue his role as Aprilia’s MotoGP test rider until 2026, having renewed his contract for two more seasons with the Noale-based manufacturer.
The Italian joined Aprilia in 2015 to compete in the FIM Superstock 1000, later moving to the World Superbike Championship before becoming a MotoGP test rider in 2020. Since then, he has played a key role in developing the RS-GP, which has seen significant improvements in recent years.
In his role, Savadori not only conducts testing but has also raced in several wildcards with the Aprilia Racing Test Team, trialing the latest innovations before they are handed over to the factory riders. He has also occasionally stepped in as a replacement for injured riders, both for Aprilia and its satellite teams.
Beyond MotoGP, Savadori will continue working on developing «track ready» Aprilia products, bringing cutting-edge racing technology to motorcycle enthusiasts and riders.
