Last week, Aprilia showed up at the official MotoGP test in Misano with a new engine and a new frame – aiming for the 2024 season. Race director Paolo Bonora talked about these news.
Regarding the engine, the engineer explained to the site SPEEDWEEK.com that power is the focus: ‘It’s more about more power throughout the speed range, from the beginning to the power peak. After all, all riders still want more power – in all areas, that’s for sure. In the beginning, middle, and maximum’.
As for the frame, Bonora said that Aprilia is looking for stability: ‘Regarding the frame, our main goal is to make the bike more stable during braking. In addition, we want to achieve better maneuverability when changing direction’.
