The alignment of pilots who will fight for the pole position of the Moto3 Spanish GP is now complete. Ángel Piqueras led Q1 in Jerez and secured qualification, as did three other pilots.
After the first flying laps, Noah Dettwiler (CIP Green Power/KTM), Vicente Pérez (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Matteo Bertelle (Rivacold Snipers Team/Honda), and Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) were in a qualifying position, but several pilots had laps cancelled.
The table saw significant changes shortly after, with Nicola Carraro (LevelUp MTA/KTM) moving to the top, followed by Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda), Filippo Farioli (SIC58 Squadra Corse/Honda), and Bertelle.
On the third flying laps, Carraro maintained the lead, Bertelle moved to second, Fernández remained in third, and Piqueras (Leopard Racing/Honda) reached fourth place. After briefly losing it, he improved to third… even taking the lead with his final lap.
Thus, Piqueras was the fastest in Q1, beating Carraro by 0.241s. Farioli was third and Fernández finished fourth, also securing a spot in Q2. In fifth, Bertelle missed out on qualification by 0.110s.
