Day two of the EnduroGP of Spain saw a total shift in weather: heavy overnight rain created a muddy battlefield in Oliana. Despite the chaos, Andrea Verona (GASGAS) executed a masterful comeback to snatch a thrilling victory from early leader Josep García (Red Bull KTM).

García began the day in dominant fashion, setting the pace in the Extreme and Cross Tests and building a 30-second cushion. But as the terrain worsened, Verona steadily closed the gap, showcasing his experience and control in slippery conditions.

‘It was a perfect weekend of racing for me’, says Josep García who shone in Spain in the EnduroGP

García, nursing a foot injury, lost vital time in the GMOTO Enduro Test and reached the final ACERBIS Cross Test with just six-tenths of a second lead. Verona seized the moment and beat him by more than a second to claim a dramatic overall win.

The battle for third was also intense. Samuele Bernardini (Honda) fended off Antoine Magain (Sherco) and Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph) to claim his first career EnduroGP podium. Magain settled for fourth, ahead of Lesiardo in fifth.

In the individual classes, Verona also secured the Enduro2 win—his first of the season—by 56 seconds over Nathan Watson (Beta). Theo Espinasse (Sherco) completed the podium. García bounced back with a win in Enduro1, followed by Bernardini and Lesiardo.

In Enduro3, Antoine Magain ended Hamish Macdonald’s winning streak. The Belgian was composed in the mud, while Macdonald’s late push wasn’t enough. Leo Le Quere (TM Boano) rounded out the podium in third.
