Andrea Iannone returned to the world championships this year after a long break due to being banned from races. On his return, it became clear that he still “has what it takes” and there are, he assures, factory teams interested in him, a desire he does not hide wanting to fulfill, that of returning to race in a factory.
Back in Assen and with his eyes on his future, Andrea Iannone made a bold statement for 2025: ‘I am a little excited because it is very good to be back here. I have won in the past, in my first year in Moto2, and I have also had very good races more or less every year at this track. It is the first race where we do not have a test before the round and I am a little worried because I do not know what will happen, but I hope we start in a positive way.’.
Next, he focused on his future and made it clear that… he wants a place in the factory next season: ‘I do not know my future. I am happy that they are talking about me, but at the moment I do not know. I want to continue living this moment and I am focused on riding well because I know that if I am at the top, I have many chances. My goal is to be in a factory team, but we will see’.
And apparently, many teams are already interested: ‘After a long time, I felt many things and felt the interest of many manufacturers. I feel honored. I think that after Assen, in Misano, we will know more about this’.
