Ana Carrasco is, to this day, the only woman to have become a FIM world champion in motorcycle racing – in the Supersport 300, competing in a field full of men. However, the last few years have been marked by injuries, and in 2023 the scenario repeated itself at the Indonesian Moto3 Grand Prix.
Being in that category will not be possible this year since there is no vacancy, although she is recovering from the injury suffered in Mandalika. For now, the Spanish rider does not have any confirmed sports plans for the new season, preparing herself regardless of what the coming months hold.
As for goals, despite the uncertainty, Carrasco reiterated to the newspaper Marca that winning will be her goal: ‘It’s difficult, actually, because I would be lying if I said I don’t want to win. In the end, my intention in the short term and the long term is always to try to be the best possible and continue to improve as a rider, but my goal is to win again wherever I am. Sometimes it can be achieved and sometimes not, but I wake up every day with the enthusiasm and desire to win‘.
