2,857,925 spectators attended and watched live throughout the 20 rounds of this year’s MotoGP World Championship.
These figures, revealed by Dorna, show a return of the audience to the stands after the Covid-19 pandemic to witness Francesco Bagnaia’s (Ducati) journey to his second title. Looking at the numbers, there were 26,317 people “missing” to surpass the highest attendance recorded in 2018.
In the upcoming season, Marc Márquez’s entry into Gresini, the titanic duel between Bagnaia and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), and the concessions being given to various manufacturers may further increase interest both on and off the track.
