The end of Álex Rins’ absence may be near. The LCR Honda rider was injured last June at the Italian GP and has not been able to compete since then. However, he will try to participate in this weekend’s Japanese GP.
The website SPEEDWEEK.com writes that yesterday the Spaniard underwent a successful medical examination. Rins is already on his way to Motegi and is listed as a participant in one of the pre-GP press conferences.
In order to participate in the Japanese GP, Rins will need to receive clearance from the doctors during the usual Thursday examinations. If he does not get the “green light,” Stefan Bradl is on standby to once again take his place at LCR Honda.
