Álex Rins arrived at Monster Energy Yamaha this year, returning to being a factory rider in MotoGP after a brief stint with LCR Honda in 2023. The next season is still open, as he may or may not continue with the Japanese team – although he has a clear desire.
The rider didn’t hide that the future is a subject that is somehow present, although he prefers to stay out of any ongoing conversations:
– It is true that it crosses my mind, that’s true. But right now I’m in a moment where I need to focus a lot on the bike, work hard, to have a good base, and things like that. For that reason, I tell my manager that I prefer to stay behind all of his conversations. At least during the GP weekend.
Nevertheless, Rins ensured that his desire is to stay at Yamaha: ‘I would like to continue here in the same place where I am because the team is working so hard, they are working so well. And it seems like they already have their minds working for next year to improve the bike. So, I am very convinced‘.
