Álex Rins was satisfied with the work done in Monday’s tests in Aragón, where he finished in 17th place. The Yamaha rider tested technical novelties and highlighted engine improvements.

The Spanish rider gave a positive assessment of the test day at Motorland Aragón, where the Japanese team took the opportunity to experiment with various technical solutions. When asked about the day’s sensations, Rins didn’t hide his enthusiasm: ‘It was a very good day. We tried several new things, like the front and side fairings, and I must say I liked their response in the corners.’

The 28-year-old athlete admitted, however, that not everything went smoothly during the session. ‘When the grip increased, I stopped because it can be confusing’, explained #42, referring to the difficulties of adapting to the new aerodynamic configurations.

Despite a fall with no consequences at turn 12, Rins maintained an optimistic perspective on the work developed. ‘Overall, the feeling was positive. I only crashed at turn 12, but without consequences’, reassured the official Yamaha rider.

The Spaniard also highlighted the progress made at the engine level, an area where the Japanese brand has invested to reduce the deficit against the competition. ‘I also checked the new engine specification and noticed an increase in straight-line speed’, revealed Rins, underlining the importance of this evolution for the upcoming races.
