One of the many riders with an uncertain future in MotoGP is Álex Márquez. The rider is in the second of two years of contract with Gresini, so he can either continue or move to another team.
In an interview with the Relevo website, the rider was asked about his plans for the future in 2025 and if staying on a Ducati bike is part of his plans. In response, Márquez stated:
– Yes, yes, I am clear about this, and there is a beautiful possibility, that if everything fits… it is like always, the rider market is like a ladder, everyone is moving up and you need to see where those who are currently leading the championship position themselves, because that’s how it goes, and from there it’s a domino effect. If all the situations that I think need to happen actually occur, there could be something very beautiful, and it could be interesting.
The first confirmation of top riders was Francesco Bagnaia at Ducati, followed by Fabio Quartararo at Monster Energy Yamaha. One of the key positions to be filled is at Ducati, with at least three strong candidates: Enea Bastianini (Ducati), Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) and Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
