Third in the Superbikes World Championship, Alex Lowes is ready to face another round of the competition, this time in Assen. Starting in good form is the wish of the British rider, who sees all opponents very close and competitive.
‘Assen is a great track and a very fun layout. It’s a circuit where I’ve always enjoyed racing. We know how tight the Superbikes World Championship is this year and we also know that Friday will be very important,’ he began in his preview of the on-track action, ensuring that it is necessary to immediately enter a very competitive atmosphere:
– We have to work hard from FP1 to put ourselves at the front in the Superpole qualifying session. From there, I believe we can fight for the podium, but we will focus on Friday and then continue. Assen is always a busy event, with a lot of support, so I’m excited to go to the Netherlands.
Currently, after two rounds, Lowes is third in the overall standings with 75 points, the same as Álvaro Bautista, with Nicolò Bulega leading with 87 points so far.
