Alessandro Zaccone set the fastest time in the MotoE Italian GP practice sessions. The second session at Mugello was where all the riders set their best times.
The initial leader was Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team), who started with two quick laps. He was then overtaken by Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP). The Spaniard only stayed at the top for a few seconds, before Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) set the best time of the session: 1m55.958s.
The Italian did not improve further, but there were others who got close until the end. Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini) finished second 0.114s behind, followed by Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing). Eric Granado (LCR E-Team), leader of the first practice, was fourth, with Garzó finishing fifth.
Also qualifying directly for the second session were Casadei, Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar), and Alessio Finello (Felo Gresini). In ninth, Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSi) missed out on Q2 by just 0.003s. Among the other riders who will have to go through Q1 are Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar) and Óscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi).
