Aleix Espargaró once again topped the timesheets on the second and final day of the private MotoGP test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Honda HRC test rider repeated his Wednesday performance, clocking the fastest lap of the week with a 1:39.073.

Portugal’s Miguel Oliveira was close behind in second, just 0.095s adrift, riding the Prima Alpine Pramac Yamaha. Pol Espargaró secured third for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, also lapping under the 1:40 barrier.

Jack Miller placed fourth on the second Yamaha of the Pramac Alpine squad, ahead of veteran test riders Dani Pedrosa (KTM) and Michele Pirro (Ducati). Yamaha ran three test bikes, shared between Augusto Fernández and Andrea Dovizioso, with ‘Yamaha 2’ being the quickest of the trio. At least one of the machines is believed to feature Yamaha’s new V4 engine.

Among the Moto2 participants, Alonso López topped the day with a 1:42.016, faster than Senna Agius’ Wednesday benchmark. Celestino Vietti and Dani Holgado also took part on Thursday, with consistent times.

The private test, held behind closed doors, was focused primarily on technical evaluations for the 2025 season, with Yamaha and KTM attracting particular attention due to their ongoing development efforts.
