Aleix Espargaró comes from a disappointing result in the Australian MotoGP, with eighth place almost ten seconds off the top. Now, the Aprilia man is more cautious for this weekend’s Thai GP.
The Spaniard is tempering expectations for Buriram, but still believes he can be competitive in this penultimate round outside of Europe:
– Expectations are not really high at this track, but we are in MotoGP. I had high expectations in Australia and then I was very angry after our performance during the race – not during the weekend with our speed, but during the race, which is important. So, you never know. Here I have low expectations, but then we can be competitive. For example, in India I was in fifth place before the engine said ‘finished’. So, maybe without this kind of problem we can also stay at the top.
