In statements to Marca, the Honda Team Manager spoke about what the manufacturer’s main desire is: ‘What Honda is thinking now is to improve the bike’, before explaining that if that gives their riders a strong “weapon” to attack the track, they will fulfill it, with Mir in mind:
– We consider that if the bike improves, any rider we have can develop their potential and Joan Mir is a rider who is a two-time world champion, which makes him a rider who can be fighting for front positions.
And he added, emphasizing once again what the main goal is at the moment: ‘We are no longer thinking about renewing the riders before the start of the season. We are thinking about improving the bike, which is the starting point for everything’.
