Pedro Acosta is one of the most talked-about young talents in MotoGP, currently in his second season – once again with Red Bull KTM. After four rounds, he is the highest-placed KTM rider, sitting in 11th.

However, this season has already seen two crashes that cost him race points – in Thailand and Austin. Back in 2024, particularly at the Japanese GP, he had wins within reach… but missed out due to incidents.

Albert Valera, Acosta’s manager, told GPOne.com that the rider feels deep gratitude towards KTM, but that doesn’t translate into pressure… and he is confident for the rest of the season:

– I know he is grateful to KTM for what they have done for him. He is aware of the difficulties the Austrian manufacturer is going through, but he is confident they will bring something new in Europe. He also believes things will go better in Europe, so he doesn’t feel pressure from that perspective.

And what about the mistakes Acosta has made at times? Valera commented: ‘If he made mistakes, it’s because he was pushing to the limit. He is a winner, and he is trying to win even if the bike right now isn’t the best. He is 20 years old and has a strong mindset that tells him it can be done, so sometimes he crosses that line’.
