The Yamaha R9 already stood out as one of the most anticipated sports bikes of the year, but now, with the launch of Akrapovič’s new Racing Line Titanium exhaust system, it promises to take its performance and sporty character even further. The Slovenian brand, which specialises in high-performance exhausts, developed this system inspired by its creations for the Yamaha R6, R7 and R1, guaranteeing a combination of aggression, elegance and power.

The Racing Line Titanium stands out for its premium aesthetics and high-quality materials. The silencer is made from titanium, with a refined finish that perfectly complements the lines of the Yamaha R9. The manifolds and connecting pipe are made of stainless steel, guaranteeing durability and resistance to corrosion. The pre-silencer has been cleverly integrated under the bike’s fairings, while the exhaust emerges from the right-hand side, reinforcing its racing bike look.

In addition, the set includes an aluminium support for the silencer, and the entire system is Euro 5+ approved, guaranteeing compliance for road use.

The sound has been carefully tuned to offer a deep, bassy tone, making every acceleration a remarkable listening experience. More than just an aesthetic and sound upgrade, Racing Line Titanium brings real improvements to the Yamaha R9’s performance.

In tests carried out by Akrapovič, this exhaust system delivered an increase of 2.2 kW (around 3 hp) at 10,000 rpm, as well as an increase of 2.6 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm compared to the original exhaust. The result is a quicker response to the throttle and a more progressive and forceful delivery of power, especially in the middle and upper range of the rev counter.

And the best part: these improvements can be achieved without the need to modify the ECU or make any additional adjustments, since it’s a plug-and-play system ready to be installed.

The Racing Line Titanium version is homologated for the road, respecting legal sound limits with a noise level of 93.3 dB at 5,500 rpm. For those looking for even more extreme performance on the track, Akrapovič offers an additional connecting pipe with integrated resonator, which maintains the sporty character of the sound but slightly reduces static noise. However, this option requires reprogramming the ECU and is intended for circuit use only.

The Yamaha R9 has already won over enthusiasts with its three-cylinder CP3 engine, the same used in the MT-09 and XSR900, known for its vigorous response and unmistakable sound. With the new Akrapovič exhaust, this machine will be able to express its full potential in the best possible way.

Although the brand has not yet revealed the official price of the Racing Line Titanium, it is estimated to be around 1,500 euros on the European market. It is expected to arrive in shops and dealers in the coming weeks, making it one of the most sought-after upgrades for the new Yamaha R9.
