Ai Ogura is expected to be on his way to MT Helmets-MSi for the next Moto2 World Championship season. The team will succeed the current Pons Wegow Los40, expanding their activities to the intermediate category.
According to the site SPEEDWEEK.com, Ogura intends to leave the Idemitsu Honda Team Asia. He had negotiations with Red Bull KTM Ajo, but his contract prevents him from moving to Moto2 teams associated with MotoGP manufacturers. Therefore, Fantic, Yamaha VR46 Master Camp, GasGas Aspar, and Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP are also not options.
The alternative should be MT Helmets-MSi. Ogura has already received an offer from the team managed by Teo Martín. The Japanese rider adds important experience to the team: he has been in Moto2 since 2021, knows what it takes to fight for the title as he was the runner-up last year, and has been accumulating wins and podiums.
