After talking about the moment he realized he could really fight for the MotoGP world title, Jorge Martín confessed that the pressure he felt did not help in how he approached some of the rounds.
The Japanese round marked the moment when Martín understood that he had everything it took, seriously, to fight with Pecco Bagnaia for the championship, but with that came some less positive feelings, as he recalled: ‘Then came the pressure. I didn’t like going from Thailand to Qatar, I had many mental difficulties. It was the first time I felt this pressure and had difficulties. I didn’t like it’.
Second in the championship, Martín said that how he feels at a certain moment can change how he enjoys, or not, the way the riding itself happens:
– I think that when I’m having fun, I’m faster. So, I hope that in the next season I improve, learn, and can enjoy from the first race. Well, I would say not just one race – maybe two.
