We find many extravagant projects on the Internet: from special GS, improved Vespas and Harley-Davidson transformed into snowmobiles, there is everything.
What catches our attention today is a Chopper, or rather, the “Monster Chopper” built by Grind Hard Plumbing Co. This company is made up of a group of friends, all from the American state of Idaho, who do amazing projects in their garage. Ethan and Edwin’s crazy ideas are particularly well known: in addition to the Hayabusa snowmobile (the fastest in the world), Grind Hard Plumbing Co also converted a Honda Zoomer, known in the US as Honda Ruckus, installing a 999 cc four-cylinder engine from the Honda Fireblade. This is their YouTube channel.
Returning to the Monster Chopper, the idea of Grind Hard Plumbing Co was to do something never seen before, but also to test their skills given the complexity of the project.
The Grind Hard Monster Chopper, as they called it, is equipped with a decidedly bold engine. The engine is the V2 two-cylinder from the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, a power unit capable of delivering an impressive 160 hp and 140 Nm of torque.
Although the engine is a true marvel, the highlight of this Monster Chopper are the wheels: the Grind Hard Monster Chopper is indeed equipped with 46-inch tires.
Aside from the huge tires, the bike also boasts impressive welding work: a tubular frame, a complex hydraulic system to steer the front wheel, and a specially designed swing arm. Everything was designed to make this Chopper drivable, a difficult challenge given that people are having trouble with the steering itself.
In any case, American mechanics are making daily progress on the project.
