Riccardo Rossi is the new rider for CIP Green Power in the Moto3 World Championship. In September, the rider had been announced at CFMoto PrüstelGP, but with the end of this team, he had to find another place to continue his career. This is a change of plans for CIP Green Power, which had previously announced Noah Detwiller and Lorenzo Fellon, with the latter leaving to make way for Rossi.
Currently 21 years old, he competed in the last two seasons at SIC58 Squadra Corse riding a Honda. Now, at CIP Green Power, he will have a KTM – just like he did in 2020 and 2021 during his time at BOE Motorsports. Rossi has completed five full seasons in Moto3, with two third places being his best results so far.
In a statement, the Italian said: ‘I am very happy to have signed with CIP Green Power and return to KTM for 2024. Last season I struggled a lot with the Honda because the KTM was faster on some tracks. I am also happy with the new Pirelli tires that I tested in Barcelona, and this is another motivation for me. I can’t wait to start the 2024 season and I will work hard in the pre-season to be able to be competitive from the first race‘.
As for the team owner, Alain Bronec, he commented: ‘We are very happy to welcome Riccardo to our team for this new Moto3 season. He is a rider who has already made his mark in this category, and we will do everything we can to help him continue to progress. I have a feeling that he can deliver some good performances this year‘.
