Der amtierende zweifache Superbike-Weltmeister Álvaro Bautista wird die Geschehnisse in der kommenden Saison der Königsklasse aufmerksam verfolgen. Bautista glaubt, dass sein Landsmann Marc Márquez ein Stolperstein für die Hauptanwärter auf den Titel wie Pecco Bagnaia und Jorge Martin sein wird.
‘I believe that when you have a very, very good rider like Marc Márquez with the best bike, I believe that everything becomes easier. One plus one is two. He will be fast, he will win races, I don’t know if he won’t win the MotoGP world championship in this year of 2024, but he will fight for it. And that will make Ducati raise its level even more,’ he began in an interview with DAZN.
Bautista wears the Ducati jersey in the Superbike World Championship and praises the work being done in the various categories in recent years:
– Last year they were unbeatable and won everything. This year, with a rider like Marc… I believe it will be good for Ducati and sometimes it will be difficult to manage all of this because Márquez is not a factory rider. First and foremost, the fans, including myself, will enjoy the races. Ducati’s mentality is to win, if it’s possible to win with a factory rider, great. What’s important for Ducati is that their bikes win, whoever it is, they will be happy,’ he said.
