Rivals, but rivals and brothers: that’s the very peculiar relationship between Álex and Marc Márquez, even more so this year as teammates (again). The youngest of the clan is very happy to share the garage with #93 again in a team that he considers ‘different’.
Álex talked about what it will be like to be on the same team as his brother: ‘It’s very special to share the team with your brother. It was already special when we were both racing in the championship, especially in MotoGP, you can’t imagine what it’s like to be on the same team, so special.’
He also believes that the situation can be beneficial for both: ‘We have to take advantage of this situation, it’s a magical atmosphere that we can create off the track with the team, in the team facilities [at the Grand Prix] and that’s going to be very important’, before praising the team’s atmosphere:
– I’ve been in many teams but Gresini has something different in that aspect, and surely Marc is going to feel very comfortable on the track, and that atmosphere that we can create off the track is going to be very important, both for the two of us and for the team.
