Adrián Huertas won the victory in the first race of the World Supersport Championship in Misano. With the fight open until the end, the first two finished separated by only 0.021s.
With a good start, Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati) took the lead, which he held at the end of the first lap. The Italian always led, with Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati) being his main pursuer. Both were always separated by less than a second.
The fight extended until the end and, in the last corner, Huertas made the decisive overtake to surpass Montella and achieve victory. Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate) finished third, unable to keep up with the top two.
The top five was completed by Valentin Debise (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha) and by Jorge Navarro, who in his debut for Orelac Racing VerdNatura achieved the best result of the season so far.
