We’ve seen the Honda Monkey in all sorts of different forms: from Harley-Davidson kits, to Kawasaki kits and then the inevitable kit that disguises it as an Africa Twin. If this kit is new to you, it’s totally understandable, the Baja Africa fairing was distributed by Honda in Japan in limited quantities in the early 1990s, and now these “little Africa Twins” are in high demand on the market.
This kit has taken the style and graphics of the XRV750 Africa Twin and scaled them down to fit a Honda Monkey. Like the well-known kits that turn the Monkey into a Harley, Monkeys with Baja Africa kits are rare on the market. Some enthusiasts have imported them over the years, but find it difficult to part with them.
However, an enthusiast from Fort Myers, Florida, has put an impressive 1992 Honda Monkey Baja Africa up for sale. The condition, as you can see in the pictures, is fantastic. What’s more, it has a helmet and lenses to match!
