Rio Maior once again hosted a celebration, in a natural setting of rare beauty and with an impressive human crowd, the second round of the 19th Yamaha Trophy, the oldest off-road trophy held in Portugal. The competition took place on a track with three different lanes prepared for the 21 different classes, on a day full of adrenaline and strong emotions.
With the participation of almost three hundred riders of all ages, in a familiar and multigenerational environment that characterizes the Yamaha Trophy and gives it a trademark image, the competition in Rio Maior started early with technical and administrative checks and training sessions starting at 9 o’clock in the morning. A journey that, as usual, had the fantastic support of the local Moto Club that dynamized, among other things, a very popular food and drinks area.
After the completion of the various training sessions and a short break to recharge, the eleven races followed that determined the winners of the 21 classes in which the participants in the 19th Yamaha Trophy are divided.
For Yamaha Portugal, this second stage of the Trophy “was a spectacular journey that brought together 292 participants, preceded by two days of rain that helped to have a track without dust. This track is a true amphitheater for two and four-wheeled motorsports. Rio Maior is indeed the event with the best-framed human crowd, and therefore Yamaha could not be more satisfied with the success of this second event of the 2024 edition of the Yamaha Trophy,” said Luís Figueiredo from Yamaha Portugal after the completion of the eleven competition rounds.
La tercera jornada del 19º Trofeo Yamaha se llevará a cabo el 7 de julio en Carvoeira, Torres Vedras.
