With Marc Márquez’s future decided, the focus now shifts to the fate of his current teammate at Gresini – and brother – Álex Márquez. However, this is a matter in which the eight-time world champion will have no influence.
While acknowledging Álex’s crucial role in his move to Gresini, Marc assured Cadena SER that he will not intervene in his brother’s future:
– It has never been and never will be my job. My brother is fast enough to have a MotoGP bike on his own, but it’s true that I am at Gresini and Ducati because of him. If he hadn’t taken that step, I probably never would have ended up at Gresini and Ducati. You have a brother, and you see his results and happiness, and somehow he conveys that positive environment to you.
In Marc’s view, Álex’s talent is sufficient for him to secure a MotoGP bike for 2025: ‘He is fast enough to have a MotoGP bike next year, and I hope one of the options for him can be Gresini’.
