Lewis Hamilton is a Formula 1 driver, but also a keen fan of MotoGP – having even already tried a bike from the premier category. And he analyzed one of the events of the year in the premier class of motorcycling – Marc Márquez’s move to Ducati in 2025.
In a way, it seems like a similar change to the one Hamilton will make in F1, by moving to Ferrari after more than a decade with Mercedes. The seven-time world champion said in a press conference: ‘Seeing Márquez on Ducati will be cool. Ducati has always been such a cool bike‘.
Whether it’s Márquez at Ducati or Hamilton at Ferrari, they will face new professional challenges – something the British driver considers generates excitement, but also some nervousness:
– But I think from an athlete’s perspective or a driver’s perspective, I think… maybe it’s similar for some of you, where maybe you’ve been in a job for a very, very long time, it’s great to have something new, a new environment, a new desk, new people to work with and new challenges. And there are nerves, there are all these things you’re unsure about, in the sense of not knowing how you will fit into an environment, for example. But that’s exciting. And it’s great when you are welcomed into a new space. So, I think it’s very cool. I can’t wait to see him on that bike.
