The rain prevented the teams from taking advantage of the MotoGP test day that took place last Monday at Mugello. However, Monster Energy Yamaha already has two test days planned soon in which they hope to make up for the lost time.
Team director Massimo Meregalli revealed to the championship’s official website that the test will take place on June 11 and 12 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia – which will host the final round of the season in November. The Italian stated:
-“Unfortunately, we couldn’t do a single task of what we planned to do [in Mugello]. Fortunately, ten days ago we decided to organize another test in Valencia since the Kazakhstan GP was postponed. Hopefully, we can evaluate all the things that were supposed to be done in Mugello there.”
Only Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo will participate in these two test days, with test rider Cal Crutchlow out, as Meregalli mentioned: ‘Only Fabio and Álex, because as you know, Cal was operated on and has a very long recovery, so we can’t count on him‘.
