There are about four hours left until the end of the MotoGP testing day at Mugello, and at this point there are already more riders with recorded times – including Miguel Oliveira. However, the rain continues to heavily influence the work.
If the teams were hoping to test some new features and solutions on their bikes, the plans are literally going down the drain – with wet track conditions that are not favorable for testing.
The leader remains Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM), with a 0.003s lead over Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM). Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) moved up to third place swapping with Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) in the last hour.
The top five is rounded out by Joan Mir (Repsol Honda). Oliveira has already taken to the track, with the Portuguese from Trackhouse Racing completing a total of seven laps so far – the best of which currently gives him the ninth time.
Among the riders without times are Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), who has not yet hit the track, and Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), who has only completed two laps.
