After a few more complicated Grand Prix races, Enea Bastianini savored a second place at home in the Italian MotoGP GP. The Ducati rider overtook Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) right at the end and finished just behind teammate Francesco Bagnaia.

Asked if he could have fought with Bagnaia for the victory if he had been faster in the first laps, #23 replied: ‘I think Pecco was very fast today. We tried to catch him several times, me and Jorge. He was very close to him, but if you try to attack a bit more, sometimes you make some mistakes and lose time. And we also had a lot of difficulties with the front tire. It was not easy.
