The Italian Moto2 Grand Prix went from bad to worse for Fermín Aldeguer. The rider suffered his second consecutive retirement, seriously compromising his championship hopes.
Yesterday, the Spaniard missed qualifying due to neck pain, relegating him to 18th on the starting grid. While trying to recover positions and minimize the damage, he had a spectacular crash on the fourth lap of the race.
Aldeguer was touched by Jeremy Alcoba (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team/Kalex) in turn four and lost control of the bike, resulting in a strong accident. However, he emerged unscathed.
However, the MB Conveyors Speed Up rider once again lost ground in the title fight, now trailing 59 points behind championship leader Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro).
