After failing to qualify yesterday, Fermín Aldeguer will be able to participate in the Moto2 Italian GP race – although he won’t have an easy time starting from 18th place.
After finishing second in Saturday morning’s practice, the Spanish MB Conveyors SpeedUp rider missed the qualifying session in Mugello due to neck pain that required him to be examined at a hospital.
Aldeguer’s exact health status is not known, only that he was ‘declared fit’ for Sunday’s race. Therefore, he may try to at least minimize the points loss to his rivals.
Considered one of the main title contenders, the rider is currently fourth in the championship, already 46 points behind leader Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro) after six rounds.
