The Superbike World Championship had two days of testing at Misano yesterday and Thursday, about two weeks before the circuit hosts another round of the season. And Toprak Razgatlioglu stood out.
During the second day, the Turkish ROKiT BMW rider completed a lap in 1m32.535s – hours after the rain appeared for a few moments. Razgatlioglu, who had also been the fastest on Thursday, lapped below the official WSBK record at Misano, while working on the setup and electronics of his M 1000 RR.
In second place was Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha), who was 0.578s behind Razgatlioglu, followed by the two Aruba.it Ducati riders: Nicolò Bulega, the championship leader, and two-time world champion Álvaro Bautista who suffered three crashes on this last day. The top five was rounded out by Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha). Alex Lowes took the best Kawasaki to seventh on the second day.
Also on track were riders from the Supersport World Championship. Of these, the fastest was Adrián Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati), who set the 19th absolute time on Friday. Near the end, he surpassed Stefano Manzi (Pata Prometeon Ten Kate Yamaha) by 0.382s, who had led for most of the day. Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta) was third.
