Pedro Acosta is surprising in his debut season in MotoGP and there is already talk of his promotion to Red Bull KTM next year. The rider made his debut with Red Bull GasGas Tech3, whose owner Hervé Poncharal has already admitted that keeping the young talent will be very difficult.
If the promotion to KTM is confirmed, Acosta is expected to be teammates with Brad Binder – who has a contract until 2025 and is delivering considerably stronger performances than Jack Miller, being only behind Acosta among the KTM RC16 riders.
The South African was asked about what he thinks of the possibility of forming a duo with the Spaniard next season. In response, Binder did not spare praise for Acosta:
– I think it will be very good. I mean, he has already done such a good job this season. He is quite fast in all rounds from FP1 and brings a good new dynamic to the team and is showing us some areas where we need to improve. So, it’s always good to have fast teammates.
