Marco Bezzecchi faces this weekend one of the most special rounds for him in the MotoGP season – the Italian GP at Mugello, where he competes at home one of two times a year.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider, who already has a podium in 2024, did not hide that he approaches this GP differently: ‘I am always happy to compete at Mugello, a truly special place. The track is certainly one of my favorites, maybe my absolute favorite, some sequences of corners are among the most spectacular on the entire calendar. Then, there is the atmosphere: we are at home, the cheers and all the fans‘.
The Catalunya GP was complicated for Bezzecchi, who only managed to finish ninth in the main race after a retirement in the previous round. Not letting himself be affected, he emphasized his determination to return to good results at the Italian GP:
– We are coming from a difficult GP, we will continue to work on the aspects that affected us in Barcelona, we will not give up and we hope to have a great weekend right in front of the Italian fans. I will also have a special helmet, it is beautiful and I can’t wait to show it to you on Saturday.
