Joan Mir and Repsol Honda faced many difficulties at the MotoGP Catalan GP. Next weekend, the Italian GP at Mugello will take place, another circuit that is expected to be challenging for the Japanese manufacturer.
However, after the race last Sunday in Barcelona, the Spanish rider admitted that, considering the difficulties faced, he expects a less complicated round in Italy:
– I hope probably better than here [in Barcelona]. In terms of track, it is very difficult for us because accelerations and everything are not our strong point. But here is the worst scenario we can have. So, it can only get better.
At this moment, Mir expects Honda to adjust their plans for Mugello based on what did not go well in Catalonia: ‘I don’t know if after how things went this weekend they modify a bit the plan of what we will use or what we will have. I hope so. So, we will see‘.
